The state government of Andhra Pradesh, India has inked a deal to export packaged seafood to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It signed an agreement with UAE-based Tabreed Asia to set up cold chain infrastructure for the project. The facility will also be used to explore opportunities to export to the rest of Asia. The deal follows India’s plan to sign this week a bilateral Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with the UAE, which is India’s third-largest trading partner and recently re-allowed the import of poultry products from the subcontinent.
