Investors should look to East Malaysia to develop the local pig farming industry, as there is better potential in the region. “I don’t see the industry developing much in West Malaysia. New farms aren’t being built there and I don’t anticipate support for development. We see existing ones doing basic and cost-effective solutions for their current buildings to fulfill policies/legislation,” Tomalso Li, Big Dutchman’s Area Sales Manager for Southeast Asia told that. He added that “investors are looking at East Malaysia to build modern, closed house systems.”
