Large feed producers in Vietnam have raised feed prices effective February 16, no thanks to rising raw material costs.

MSN Feed, De Heus, and CJ Vina have adjusted their prices, rising by USD 8.8 -13.2/ton. Meanwhile, the prices of pork and poultry meat have remained low since last year. Costlier feed will add to the difficulties of producers in maintaining production.

According to the Department of Livestock Production, the prices of the cereal group increased the most.

Corn kernels increased by 40%; soybean meal by 31%; wheat bran increased by 35%; cassava chips increased by 22%, and extracted rice bran increased by 15% compared to last year’s February.
